Position Description

To build upon a track record of growth and success, we are seeking a Laboratory Technician out of Dexter, MI.     

Responsibilities will include:

  • Receive, unpack and log customer samples.
  • Process and handle samples efficiently and effectively and perform work in a timely manner.
  • Record all experiments, investigations, procedures and data.
  • Perform wet chemistry techniques, physical testing and QC testing on a variety of industrial samples.
  • Safely operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to write reports and analyze data.
  • Properly dispose of chemicals and other laboratory waste.
  • Comply with all aspects of laboratory safety and the Trucent safety program, including but not limited to: hazard communication, PPE requirements and safety training.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics.


Position Qualifications:


Requires a high school education or equivalent.


Requires a minimum of 1-year laboratory experience performing wet chemistry techniques to gain sufficient skill to perform the requirements of the position.


Skills and Abilities, which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly, associated with this position:

  • Ability to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Perform the basic functions of arithmetic and algebra; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measurement; compute ratio, rate and percent; calculate variables and formulas.
  • Perform basic written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in use of laboratory instruments.
  • Basic computer & software skills.
  • Requires a well-organized individual with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software and Work Aids, which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly, associated with this position:

  • Various laboratory instrumentation/software including but not limited to: HPLC, GC, GCMS.
  • Computer, printer, and general office
