Position Description

To build upon a track record of growth and success, we are seeking a Fluid Service Technician out of North West, IN.   

Responsibilities will include:

  • Operate purification equipment with emphasis on customer relations & proper equipment operation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on purification equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and operational assistance of skid mounted fluid purification equipment.
  • Maintain service logs on equipment.
  • Coordinate projects and logistics between operating divisions and regions to most effectively and efficiently meet customer needs.
  • Internal reporting on fluid conditions, samples and other customer related issues.
  • Customer service, support, training and problem resolution.
  • Document equipment repairs, cleaning, preventative maintenance, calibrations, etc. and complete all required paperwork.
  • Collect samples for analysis.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects.
  • Comply with all aspects of the Trucent safety program, including but not limited to: hazard communication, PPE requirements and attending quarterly safety training.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics.

Position Qualifications:


Requires a high school education or equivalent plus additional specialize training in industrial maintenance & machine operation.


Requires a minimum of 1 to 3 years experience in order to gain sufficient skill to perform the requirements of the position.


Skills and Abilities, which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly, associated with this position:

  • Good personal communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  • General knowledge of the skill trades including, mechanical, plumbing and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Customer relation & problem resolution skills.
  • Effective time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic familiarity with PCs.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision.
  • Perform reading, writing and speaking at a basic level.
  • Perform the basic functions of arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Demonstrate a basic understanding of specifications, blueprints, manuals and mechanical drawings and have a general understanding of analytical methods.
  • Ability to apply rational principles to solve practical problems and deal with several concrete variables in standardized situations and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 50% of time.

Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software and Work Aids, which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly, associated with this position:

Hand tools, mechanics tools, vehicles, machinery and forklifts.  Computer, fax machine, phones and software.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Training Required:

  • Machine specific training for each type of applicable purification equipment (centrifuge products lines, ultra fitration, vacuum dehydration, moble oil purification system, combo unit & distillation).
  • Valid driver's license (Commercial Certification preferred) and acceptable driving record per Trucent Vehicle Policy.
  • Fork Lift Certification.
